2B1ASK1
You may ask yourself, "Why have I not been asked to join?" That is because unlike the members of other fraternal organizations, Masons do not solicit anyone to become a member, thus the title of this page "To Be One, Ask One."
Many men live a lifetime and never know that they must ask for admission to the world's oldest, most purposeful and greatest fraternity. They do not realize that they will not be invited. They must come of their own freewill and accord without persuasion. They must ask a Mason for a petition for membership.
Freemasonry, the worlds oldest and most respected Fraternity, encourages good men to become better men by promoting a life devoted to high ideals, community service and benevolence.
Each has a personal belief in a Supreme Being and a determination to conduct himself in a manner that will earn the respect and trust of others.
To become a Freemason in Kentucky, you must:
- Be a man atleast 18 years of age
- Be of good moral character
- Have a belief in a Supreme Being
- Be loyal to your country
- Be dedicated to providing for your family
- Have a sincere determination to conduct yourself in a manner that will earn the respect and trust of others
- Possess a desire to help others through community service and universal benevolence
If you feel like you meet the above qualifications, then talk to a member of Right Angle Lodge. They'll be able to give you a Petiton, or an application for membership. Fill that out and turn it in as soon as possible.
If you're new to the Winchester community, or if you don't know any members of Right Angle Lodge, please feel free to stop by the Lodge Hall before our regular meeting and ask to speak with the Master or the Secretary. Someone would be glad to talk to you and help you along the way.
Right Angle Lodge meets on the 4th Saturday of every month. Someone is always at the lodge by 6:30 on that Saturday to meet and speak with anyone interested in becoming a member of our fraternity.
